President sends message of condolence following the passing of Seychelles Defence Forces (SDF) recuit during training

The President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr Wavel Ramkalawan, in his capacity as the Commander in Chief of the Seychelles Defence Forces, has sent a message of condolences following the passing of a young recruit on 27th March whilst on training.

"On behalf of the country and on my personal behalf, I wish to convey my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the young recruit. By voluntarily joining to become a member the Seychelles Defence Forces team already depicts how honorable this young man was and his willingness to join to serve his country. We are deeply saddened by this sudden loss and wish his family and friends courage and strength during this difficult time."
