Seychelles: Reception for the 63rd Birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan

On 10 March 2023, H.E. Mr. OKANIWA Ken, Ambassador of Japan to Seychelles hosted a reception at EDEN BLUE HOTEL to celebrate the 63^rd birthday of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito.

The reception was attended by Honorable Justice Mr. Anthony Fernando, Designated Minister and Minister for fishery and the blue economy Mr. Jean-Francois Ferrari, Leader of government business in the National Assembly, Ministers, Chief of Defence Forces, government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, as well as guests from private sector and Japanese residents in Seychelles.

In his opening remarks, Ambassador OKANIWA mentioned to the meeting between President Ramkalawan and Foreign Minister Hayashi at TICAD 8 and said that Japan and Seychelles have cooperated in areas such as health, fisheries and maritime security. He further expressed his desire of cooperation and friendship between the two countries for many years to come.
