President El-Sisi Performs Friday Prayer at Al-Musheer Mosque, Meets Armed Forces Commanders

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, performed Friday prayer at Al- Musheer Mosque, coinciding with the commemoration of Martyr’s Day, in the presence of His Eminence Dr Ahmed El-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Mr. Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior, in addition to a number of senior officials, commanders of the Armed Forces and the Police, as well as soldiers and officers.

Following the prayers, President El-Sisi met with the commanders of the Armed Forces. The meeting focused on a number of important issues at the local, regional and international levels. It also reviewed the tasks carried out by the Armed Forces along all strategic directions, confirming that the Egyptian people have full confidence in the capabilities of their sons from the Armed Forces and police to reinforce the pillars of construction, stability and development in all parts of Egypt.

President El-Sisi expressed his gratitude for and appreciation of the souls of martyrs, without whom we would not have been able to realize the achievements we seek. The President reiterated that we are sincerely determined to continue giving and sacrificing to safeguard the glory, honor and dignity of the homeland.
