We welcome the peaceful, secure, and inclusive conduct of legislative elections throughout the country on January 8.

The addition of the opposition and a significant number of women parliamentarians in the National Assembly strengthens Beninese democracy. We also welcome the use of the legal process to resolve any remaining disputes in accordance with Beninese law.
