Hush Hush Is Pinnacle Of My Passion Says Tanuja Chandra

Mumbai, 15th September 2022 (NewsHelpline) - Known for making female centric empowering cinema, filmmaker and writer Tanuja Chandra, says her forthcoming series Hush Hush is pinnacle of her lifelong passion of telling stories about women.

Amazon Prime series Hush Hush stars an incredible ensemble of Juhi Chawal, Soha Ali Khan, Kritika Kamra, Suhana Goswami, Karisma Tanna, Ayesh Jhulka and more, it follows the lives of four very rich ladies, caught up in a murder plot.

Talking to NewsHelpline about the forthcoming series and it’s all female ensemble, filmmaker Tanuja Chandra said, “For me it’s been a lifelong career passion to tell stories about women, and this, Hush Hush is pinnacle of that, to have so many women, to have a story which unearths the female soul, and to be able to work with a cast which has a lot of women in it, and crew, it has been lovely and pleasurable thing”

“When I heard the story for the first time from Ashish Mehta, I was like, let’s see, but by the end of it, I was completely in the love with it” added Tanuja.

The series revolves around a powerful lobbyist Ishi Sangamitra (Juhi Chawla), an ex-investigative journalist Saiba Tyagi (Soha Ali Khan), a self-made fashion designer Zaira Shaikh (Shahana Goswami) and a trapped-in-society Dolly Dalal (Kritika Kamra) get entangled in something sinister one night.

The 7-episode series is helmed by director Tanuja Chandra, Kopal Naithani and Ashish Pandey. The gripping story is by Shikhaa Sharma, screenplay and additional stories by Ashish Mehta.

National Award-winning writer Juhi Chaturvedi has penned the dialogues. Produced by Abundantia Entertainment, the series starts streaming from 22 September.
