New Delhi, Aug 2 (SocialNews.XYZ) A Mumbai-based businessman has filed a complaint with the Delhi Police, alleging he was duped of Rs 2 crore after being promised railway contracts, "in the name of Union Home Minister Amit Shah".
The businessman has accused BJP leader and Railway Passenger Service Committee Chairman Ramesh Chandra Ratn's son Brajesh Ratn, saying that he, on the pretext of providing railway contracts valued at Rs 100 crore, took Rs 2 crore as advance from him. The BJP leader denied the allegation.
According to sources, based on the complaint of a businessman, the Delhi Police's Special Cell has registered an FIR under the relevant sections of the IPC including cheating, criminal breach of trust, and criminal conspiracy, and has started investigations.
Meanwhile, Ratn told IANS that a complaint has been registered against his son. "Some people are trying to malign my image and are subsequently targeting me. Had I been a tainted person, why would the government yet again give me this responsibility?" he said.
