Film Should Be Strong Enough To Pull Audience Says Jaaved Jaaferi

Mumbai, 20th May 2022 (NewsHelpline) – Actor Jaaved Jaaferi says a lot has changed in the last two years, audience is enjoying content at home and films must be strong enough to pull audience back in theaters.

Jaaved Jaaferi was interacting with NewsHelpline on the sidelines of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 special screening in Mumbai.

Expressing his excitement over the film helmed by Anees Bazmee, who happens to Jaaved’s dear friend, he said, “I did Singh Is King with Anees Bazmee and he is quite a fun filmmaker, I had fun making the film. He is dear friend of mine and plus he a great artist, so I am excited about this film, I last saw Mubaraka from him. I am looking forward to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2”

As compared to south Indian releases, mainstream Hindi cinema hasn’t performed well at the box-office, talking about changing landscape of cinema, Jaaved added, “Last two years has changed the habit of audience, now everyone wants to sit at home, watch it on television and mobile, so I think slowly people have started to come out and of course, film should be strong enough to pull the audience, I hope this one do”

Adding about Akshay Kumar and Kartik Aaryan being compared with each other, Jaaved said, “Part 1 and Part 2 will be compared, I don’t think this habit of comparing things is going anywhere, every film is an individual identity, I don’t think comparison should be done, but people cannot help themselves”

Meanwhile on the work front, Jaaved Jaaferi will soon be seen in Escaype Live, a science fiction thriller web series created and directed by Siddharth Kumar Tewary for Disney+ Hotstar, also starring Siddharth, Shweta Tripathi, Swastika Mukherjee, Plabita Borthakur and Waluscha De Sousa.
