AR Rahman took to his social media and shared a family photo from the wedding ceremony and wrote, “May the Almighty bless the couple .. thanking you in advance for your good wishes and love.”
In the photo, the newlyweds, along with AR Rahman, his wife Saira Banu and the other two kids- daughter Raheema and son Ameen. One can also see a portrait of Rahman’s late mother Kareema Rahman placed at the side.
Khatija also shared a picture to announce her wedding on Instagram. She wrote, "The most awaited day in my life. Married to my man @riyasdeenriyan”
Khatija and Riyasdeen got engaged in December last year. She announced it with a post that read: "With the blessings of the Almighty I'm happy to announce to you all my engagement with Riyasdeen Shaik Mohamed, an aspiring entrepreneur and a wizkid audio engineer. The engagement happened on 29th December, my birthday in the presence of close family and loved ones."
Khatija is also a singer and musician. She has sung various Tamil songs, including “Pudhiya Manidha” from Enthiran (Robot) and Rock a Bye Baby for Kriti Sanon-starrer Mimi.
