Three injured in Cylinder blast in West Delhi

New Delhi, April 11 (SocialNews.XYZ) As many as three people, including a woman, were injured in an CNG cylinder explosion in West Delhi on Monday afternoon, a Fire Department official said.

The official told IANS that they received a call about the cylinder blast at 1.25 p.m. in H. No. 662/6, B-27, Khajan Basti, Mayapuri in west Delhi after which two fire tenders were immediately pressed into service.

When the fire tenders reached the spot, three people, identified as Jitender (40), Rahul (28) and Anita (32), were already taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital.

"Usually the blast results in a fire, however, this time there was no such thing," the official said, adding the situation was under control at 1.40 p.m. and the fire tenders returned at 3.10 p.m.

The condition of all the three injured is said to be stable with minor injuries.
