On 19 to 20 December 2021, the Indonesian Consul General accompanied by the Diplomatic Information Institution of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia Cape Town and staff traveled to Hermanus, Western Cape Province. On this occasion, the Indonesian Consulate General in Cape Town delivered a package of assistance for handling the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of a package of vitamins, masks and hand sanitizers as well as a package of logistical assistance to a family of Indonesian citizens. The provision of the aid package is intended to ensure that Indonesian citizens in Hermanus are always healthy following the discovery of the new variant of Omicron. In addition to dealing with the Covid-19 variant, Omicron, the Indonesian Consul General also encouraged Indonesian citizens in Hermanus to follow the recommendation for the Covid-19 booster vaccine, which is planned to start in January 2022.
