Encouraging Youngster Is Also Social Service Says Anu Malik

Mumbai, 20th December 2021 (NewsHelpline) - Composer and singer Anu Malik, who turned a judge for cultural festival at a local college in Mumbai, believes that encouraging youngster is also social service.

Indian Idol judge Anu Malik graced the cultural festival of Mithibai College, Kshitij, here in Mumbai.

Talking about participating as judge in a cultural festival of college, where he was a student, Anu Malik said, “Great memories of this place, I studied here, I used to perform here, and I even met my Mithi Bai here, my wife”

“They were off-line for some time, now they back with live session and I couldn’t say no, because I think when you encourage youngsters, there is no better social service than this, I remember my performing days in college, whenever a celebrity used to come, we would super excited, and I think, God has been kind to me, he has blessed me with certain stature and if I use it and put smile on some ones face, it makes me feel great” added Malik.

Anu Malik, last composed a song for Sui Dhaaga (2018) for which he won his second Zee Cine Award for Best Music Director, announces his new project.

Without sharing any particulars, Anu said, “I’ve just finished recording for a new song, it is big project with a big director, and I’ve been urged not to talk about it, only thing I can tell now, the song has been picturized”

Malik was a judge on Indian Idol from its first season in 2004 until 2018 when he left after sexual harassment allegations. He returned as a judge for the show's 11th season in 2019, but left after three weeks, and he was one of the judges for part of the 12th season.
