Playing Superhero Is Once In A Lifetime Opportunity Says Tovino Thomas

Mumbai, 17th December 2021 (NewsHelpline) – Actor Tovino Thomas says playing a superhero in a film is a once in lifetime opportunity and he is super excited about Minnal Murali releasing on Netflix.

Helmed by Basil Joseph and produced by Sophia Paul, under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters, the film revolves around a young

young tailor Jaison (Tovino Thomas) who gains superpowers after being struck by lightning and becomes the superhero Minnal Murali but must take down an unexpected foe named Selvan aka Vellidi Venkidi (Guru Somasundaram) if he is to become the savior his hometown needs.

Interacting with NewsHelpline on the sidelines of special screening, actor Tovino said, “I feel proud and happy, we’re having the world premiere of Minnal Murali, we have put our heart and soul into this film, we started this journey in 2018, it has been a long journey and we had to put in extra efforts as this is something which hasn’t been tired much in Malayalam industry”

“Even for me as an actor, this is once in lifetime opportunity to play superhero and I am a huge superhero fan. I got to star as a superhero in a movie, that to be directed by my best friend, and backed by a solid team, I am super excited” added actor.

The film was set for a theatrical release in 2020 but was postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In September 2021, the makers announced that the film will be released directly through the streaming platform Netflix on 24 December 2021, because of non-existent theatrical releases due to COVID-19 pandemic.
