The sports drama Jersey is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, a remake of his 2019 Telugu film of the same title. The film also stars Pankaj Kapur.
The film chronicles a burnt out cricketer, who is trying to make a comeback against staggering odds, in order to win his child’s respect and his place in society. The film is produced by Allu Entertainment, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments and Brat Films.
The film wrapped up on 14 December 2020. The film will theatrically release on 31 December 2021 coinciding with New Year.
