Controversial diva Kangana Ranaut is back with a bang and this time around her target is none other than Mahatama Gandhi, in continuation to her Bheekh debacle.
Recently, Kangana sparked a hot-debate when she called Indian National Congress hierarchy as Beggars, more like people living off handouts, especially when it came to Indian Independence.
To make matter worse, she even claimed that the country got its real Independence after 2014 when the PM Modi led BJP government came into power.
Now, she took to her social media profile and shared back to back reels, she even shared an old newspaper clip and advised people to choose their heroes wisely.
The newspaper clip read, "Either you are a Gandhi fan or Netaji supporter. You can't be both, choose and decide."
The newspaper had an old article from the 1940s with the headline, 'Gandhi, others had agreed to hand over Netaji'.
She further added, "Those are the ones who taught us, if someone slaps you offer another cheek for one more slap and that is how you will get aazaadi. That's not how one gets aazadi, one can only get bheekh like that. Choose your heroes wisely"
"So you need to choose who you support because just placing them all in one box of your memory and every year wishing them all on their birth anniversaries is not enough. In fact, it is not just dumb, it is highly irresponsible and superficial. One must know their history and their heroes," the actor added.
Kangana even claimed that if she is proven wrong, she will hand over her Padma Shri honour. She had received the prestigious award from President Ram Nath Kovind at a ceremony hosted at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the capital on 8th November.
Meanwhile on the work front, Ranaut will portray an Indian Air Force pilot in Sarvesh Mewara's Tejas, a spy in Razneesh Ghai's Dhaakad, Indira Gandhi in her second directorial project, Emergency, and the Hindu goddess Sita in Alaukik Desai's The Incarnation: Sita.
She will also produce the black comedy film Tiku Weds Sheru, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
