Lauren Gottlieb Remembers Working With Diljit Dosanjh In Ambarsariya

Dancer and actress Lauren Gottlieb fondly remembers working with Diljit Dosanjh in Ambarsariya and learning Punjabi in one month, and slaying it too!

Lauren Gottlieb played the role of a photographer named Manpreet in the film, which was helmed by Mandeep Kumar and written by Dheeraj Rattan. The film also starred Monica Gill and Navneet Kaur Dhillon.

Lauren is an American and doesn’t speak any Indian regional language, but she managed to learn the Punjabi for her role in one month, and did most of her scenes in just one take.

Sharing a video from the film, Lauren Gottlieb wrote, “This was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever pulled off. If you can’t understand why, let me explain! It’s in a language called Punjabi, which I only had 1 month to learn. My co actor, the unbelievably talented @diljitdosanjh speaks faster than the speed of light!!! I had to come up with numerous strategies to find ques and beats”

“And last but definitely the most challenging, our amazing director wanted me to prove to the world I was more than capable to pull this off, so he made the first couple pages of dialogue ONE LONG TAKE!!!!! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED AND SLAYYYYYED!!!! I can say that because it was legit the most stressful day of my life and I’m so proud I survived it...Thank you so much @diljitdosanjh @kumartaurani @tipsfilmsofficial #mandeepkumar @girishkumart for giving me this opportunity of a lifetime” read the full note.

Lauren made her Bollywood debut with ABCD: Any Body Can Dance   , and has worked as actor and choreographer in numerous projects, such as Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!, Welcome 2 Karachi, ABCD 2 and Welcome Back.
