Kamal Hassan loses from Coimbatore South

Acclaimed actor turned politician Kamal Hassan was confident of winning from Coimbatore South constituency in Tamil Nadu assembly elections but sadly, he had to face a bitter result.

Kamal lost the election by a margin of around 1500 votes as Vanathi, who contested on BJP ticket emerged victorious.

With Kamal’s defeat, his party Makkal Needhi Maiam could not open its account in the elections.

On a related note, DMK, led by Stalin is set to form the government after emerging as the single largest party in the state.
