Sukumar revealed that Allu Arjun had asked him to rope in a Telugu actress for the lady lead role in Pushpa.
“Given the specifications of the character, Allu Arjun wanted a Telugu actress to play lady lead in the film. But for various reasons we locked Rashmika Mandanna. There are a few logistical reasons behind our decision to being Rashmika on-board,” he said.
Rashmika plays a de-glam role in Pushpa and she is putting in her best efforts for the film.
Adding further, Sukumar said he plans to rope in only Telugu actors for his upcoming films. “I will try my best to give female lead roles to Telugu actresses in my forthcoming projects,” he added.
Coming to Pushpa, the movie is touted to be a rustic action thriller. Mythri Movie Makers are bankrolling the project.
