Bhumi Pednekar Starts Shooting For 'Badhaai Do'

New Year has come with New Beginnings! Last year was a dull year on the professional front for many therefore this year most of the stars have already started shooting with high spirits. Bhumi Pednekar has also started shooting for her next film 'Badhaai Do'.

Bhumi who was last seen in 'Durgavati' shared a photo of the clap from the film and wrote, "Poori Team Ko #BadhaaiDo:) To new beginnings."

Badhaai Do is the second instalment of the super hit film Badhaai Ho that featured Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and Sanya Malhotra. This film touched the sensitive issue of parental pregnancy but won millions of hearts.

Badhaai Ho was the story of a middle-aged couple, parents to two sons, with one being a 25-year old, who discover that they are expecting another child. Facing resistance from their boys and taunts from the man’s aged mother, who stays with them, the film takes the viewers on the journey from resistance to acceptance.

Whereas, film Badhaai Do features Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The film will again deal with a social subject where Bhumi will be seen playing the role of a PT Teacher who aspires to play Handball for the country while Rajkummar will be seen playing the role of a tough cop.

The team is currently shooting in Dehradun for the film. The film is directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni and produced by Junglee Pictures.
