Actress Ranveer Singh, who featured in Rohit Shetty directorial ‘Simmba’, celebrated two years of cop-action drama film on social media on Monday. In his post, Singh thanked Shetty and his crew of the film. He also shared a picture from the sets of his upcoming film ‘Cirkus’ which is also being directed by Rohit Shetty.
Sharing a video on his Instagram handle, Ranveer wrote, “AAYA POLICE !!! Two years of my first foray into hardcore commercial cinema with the Undisputed KING of the Box-office, one & only BOSSMAN @itsrohitshetty. Ek hi toh hai ! The video captured prominent scenes and songs of the film. ‘Simmba’ is produced by Shetty under his banner Rohit Shetty Picturez and Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta via Dharma Productions. Reliance Entertainment also co-produced and distributed the film. It stars Ranveer Singh, Sonu Sood and Sara Ali Khan, with Ajay Devgn reprising his role of Bajirao Singham in a cameo role.
The film follows Sangram "Simmba" Bhalerao, a corrupt police officer hailing from the same town as Singham, who is forced to lead a more righteous path after tragedy strikes those near him. The film is an official remake of the 2015 Telugu-language film ‘Temper’.
A few hours later, Ranveer Singh shared a picture from the sets of his upcoming film ‘Cirkus’, he captioned it as, “Cirkus ke set pe Simmba 2 ki fielding! @itsrohitshetty #behindthescenes #2yearsofsimmba”.
In the picture, Ranveer is seen kicking his leg in the air while, Rohit Shetty is instructing his team on the microphone.
‘Cirkus’ is comedy film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Reliance Entertainment, T-Series and Rohit Shetty Picturez. The film features Ranveer Singh playing a double role for the first time in his career, with Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde as female leads.
Apart from ‘Cirkus’, Ranveer will also feature in Kabir Khan’s sports-drama film ‘83’, Rohit Shetty’s cop-action drama film ‘Sooryavanshi’, Yash Raj Films production’s issue based comedy film ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ and Dharma Prouctions historical drama film 'Takht'.
