Varun Dhawan Tests COVID-19 Positive

The year 2020 has almost brought tears to every eye. Though we have entered the unlock phase of the pandemic still the risk of COVID-19 is on. Actor Varun Dhawan who played safe and took all precautions on sets has contracted the virus. Taking to his social media handle the Coolie no.1 actor shared the news of his diagnosis.  He stated nothing is certain especially COVID-19. The Street Dancer 3D actor has urged his fans to be extra careful.

Varun wrote, “So as I returned to work in the pandemic era I have contracted #covid_19 All precautions were taken by the production but still nothing is certain in life especially not covid-19. So please be extra careful I believe I could have been more careful. I see the get well soon messages and my spirits are high taking each day at a time...thank u”

This happened when Varun was shooting for Raj Mehta's upcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo in Chandigarh. Jug Jugg Jeeyo will be bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. Not much has been yet revealed by the makers about the project yet, however, reportedly the film will see Varun and Kiara playing a married couple.

Varun was last seen in the film Street Dancer 3D, which also starred Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi. The actor will next be seen in Coolie No 1 remake, which has been directed by his father David Dhawan and stars Sara Ali Khan. The film is slated to release on Amazon Prime Video.
