The Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of Bihar between 2011-12 and 2018-19 was 6.16 percent, while the average of all States and Union Territories was 7.73%. 2. The CAGR of Per Capita Income for Bihar stood at only 4%, while the average of all States and Union Territories was 5.61%. 3. Bihars per capita income was 26.11 percent of overall average in 2011-12 and it fell to 23.48 percent in 2018-19. 4. As per the consumption expenditure survey of National Sample Survey (NSS), poverty in Bihar increased by 17 percent between 2011-12 and 2017-18. It now stands at 50.47 percent. 5. Bihars overall debt burden has increased by 375% since 2005 levels. 6. The average monthly income per agricultural household is Rs 3,558 in Bihar, while the national average is Rs 6,426. 7. 86 percent of Bihars marginal agricultural households are in debt compared to the national average of 63.6 percent.
