Rahul Bhat confirms re-release of ‘Section 375’ in theatres from October 16

Actor Rahul Bhat who featured in ‘Section 375’ took to social media on Thursday to reveal that the courtroom drama film will re-release in theatres from October 16. The film also stars Akshaye Khanna, Richa Chadha, Meera Chopra, Shriswara and Sandhya Mridul in pivotal roles.

Sharing the poster of ‘Section 375’ on his Instagram handle, Rahul stated that the film will re-release in theatres from October 16, he wrote, “We are glad to announce that after receiving exceptional reviews from the audience during the release, #Section375 is one of the few movies set to Re-release in cinemas from 16th October 2020 onwards. #AkshayeKhanna @therichachadha @meerachopra @ajaybahl66 @kumarmangatpathak @abhishekpathakk @panorama_studios #SCIPL #AdityaChowksey #APMP @anandpandit @anandpanditmotionpictures @vigneshetty @sanju_r_joshi @chhatwanimurli @pvrcinemas_official @inoxmovies @cinepolisindia @carnivalcine @mirajcinemas”.

‘Section 375’ is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak and SCIPL, written by Manish Gupta and directed by Ajay Bahl. It is based on Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code laws in India.

Earlier, the film was theatrically released in India on 13 September 2019.

Before release of ‘Section 375’, Rahul Bhat has featured in Anurag Kashyap’s critically acclaimed film ‘Ugly’, Sudhir Mishra’s ‘Daas Dev’, Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Fitoor’ and Prakash Jha’s ‘Jai Gangaajal’.

A few days back, the government issued guidelines for the reopening of cinema halls and multiplexes from October 15. As per the new Unlock 5 guidelines, cinemas and multiplexes have been allowed to reopen with 50 percent seating capacity. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) earlier released Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which need to be followed by all cinema halls and multiplexes.
