A few days ago, there were reports that ZEE5 is very much eager to bag the digital rights of Nithiin's Rang De. However, the makers are yet to sign an agreement for the OTT release of the film. It is said that Nithiin us against the direct to digital release proposal.
Amidst all these speculations, Rang De shoot resumed in Hyderabad today. Nithiin took part in the shoot. The unit is following all the safety precautions advised by the central government.
Rang De shoot will be completed by the end of October and the makers will assess their options based on the potential reopening of theaters. As of now, Rang De is slated for 2021 Sankranthi release.
