Bengaluru: Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy addresses a press conference on violence that broke out on Tuesday night over a derogatory social media post by his nephew P. Naveen, in Bengaluru on Aug 14, 2020. An irate mob set his 50-year-old ancestral home on fire. The mob pelted stones, injuring 60 policemen, and committed acts of vandalism and arson in DJ Halli, KG Halli, Pulikeshinagar and Kaval Byrasandra areas.
