Superstar Rajinikanth has lashed out at the cops for disrespecting the magistrate in Jayaraj and Bennix controversial case, calls for severe punishment for all those involved in the brutal killing.
Recently, the police custodial deaths of father-son duo Jayaraj and Bennix case caught fire. The incident took place on June 27 at Sathankulam. The father and son duo was brutally killed in police custody.
Actor turned politician Rajinikanth shared a photo of himself along with a note where he wrote that he was shocked at the behaviour of the cops. In his tweet he has demanded punishment for everyone involved in the murder.
He wrote, "Even after killing the father and son brutally, which was opposed by the entire humanity, the cops had the audacity to disrespect the Magistrate. I was shocked by the behaviour of the cops. All involved should be punished," read his tweet in Tamil.
The post-mortem reports of Jayaraj and Bennix, victims of Sathankulam police excess, were submitted before the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court on June 30. The judges have observed that the reports show that the father-son duo had grievous injuries on their bodies. Significantly, the court noted that there is prima facie evidence to file murder charges against the policemen involved.
On the work front, Rajinikanth’s last release was Darbar, directed by A. R. Murugadoss, the film also featured Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, and Sunil Shetty.
