New Delhi, June 15 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Delhi High Court on Monday extended, till July 15, all the interim orders, which were to expire on or after June 15, in cases before it and its subordinate court here.
The interim orders were extended in the light of the present situation in the national capital following which the litigants and advocates are unable to appear in such matters due to the restrictions imposed in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
"Taking note of the prevalent situation in Delhi, we hereby further extend the implementation of the directions contained in our order dated 25th March, 2020 and 15th May, 2020 till 15th July, 2020 with the same terms and conditions," said a three judge bench of the high court comprising Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justices Siddharth Mridul and Talwant Singh. The said interim orders include stays, bail and parole.
On March 25, the high court had extended, till May 15, the interim orders in all matters pending before it and all the district courts in the national capital in wake of the lockdown imposed amidst the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Delhi High Court and its subordinate courts have currently limited their functioning and are only taking up matters of utmost urgency via video conferencing
