Kangana Ranaut’s Thalaivi digital rights fetch Rs 55 crores

The digital rights of Kangana Ranaut's upcoming political biographical drama, Thalaivi have apparently fetched Rs 55 crores. The film which is based on the life story of ex-chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa will be getting a theatrical release first.

Thalaivi will be available for streaming both on Netflix and Amazon Prime in two languages, Tamil, Hindi. The digital release date will be announced after theatrical release.

Thalaivi will be one of the very few, or even the first south Indian film that will be available for streaming on both Netflix and Amazon prime.
