Thrissur, May 14 (SocialNews.XYZ) As Kerala is busy arranging isolation and quarantine facilities for arriving diaspora and those from within the country, a controversy has broken out after five Congress lawmakers -- three MPs and two MLAs -- who visited the Walayar check-post in Palakkad on May 9 were asked to go for a two-week isolation.
When the news surfaced, the Congress accused the ruling CPI-M of playing politics during the coronavirus times.
Soon, the Youth Congress approached the Thrissur District Medical Office demanding that Minister of Local Self-Government A.C. Moideen should also be quarantined as he had interacted with two persons, who have now turned Covid-19 positive.
In its complaint, the Youth Congress said Moideen had interacted with those who had arrived in Guruvayoor, where they were put in isolation, after arriving at Kochi on May 7 in the first evacuation flight from Abu Dhabi.
It also submitted visuals that show Moideen interacting with them at the hotel, where they had been put up on arrival.
