Going by the latest buzz, the OTT regulations in Telugu film industry might be reformed post the lockdown.
It is said that Telugu films will start hitting the silver screens from July. New releases might be up for digital release in under 2 weeks from their theatrical release. Theater revenues will not hit the top gear for at least a few months and producers are hoping to cut out a favorable deal with OTT platforms to cover their expenses.
Previously, big and medium range film used to hit digital screens only a month after their release. But that might change post lockdown.
Nani's 'V' and Ram's 'Red' might be two of the first noticable releases after the lockdown is lifted and theaters are allowed to operate.
