Gorakhpur (UP), May 5 (SocialNews.XYZ) The mutilated bodies of a woman and three children were found on the railway track near the Unaula railway station in Pipraich in Gorakhpur district on Tuesday morning.
The woman has been identified as Pooja, 35, and the children are her three daughters.
The woman reportedly had a dispute with her husband over his drinking habits and it is presumed that she committed suicide with her daughters -- Sarika (9), Simran (7) and Saumya (5) -- by jumping before a train, police said.
Her husband, Ajay Nishad is absconding after the incident and the family members of Pooja suspect foul play in the incident.
According to reports, Ajay had married Pooja ten years ago, but a dispute between the two began due to Ajay's drinking habits.
SSP Gorakhpur, Dr Sunil Gupta, said a case of abetment of suicide had bene registered against the husband and further details would be known after his arrest.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, police added.
