Nagaon: The first biggest and brightest supermoon of the year, somewhat a mix of pink and golden colours, shines in the night skies of Assam's Nagaon on Apr 7, 2020. Supermoons occur when the moon is within 90% of perigee -- which is its closest approach to Earth in orbit. The moon appears brighter and bigger with mostly no interfernce of clouds and inclement weather obscuring the view.
