25 new cases, 2 deaths in Delhi in last 24 hours: Kejriwal

New Delhi, April 7 (SocialNews.XYZ) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that in the last 24 hours, two deaths and 25 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported from the national capital.

"In the last 24 hours, 25 new cases and 2 deaths in Delhi," the Chief Minister tweeted.

 

As per the data released by the Union Health Ministry, the number of positive cases in the national capital went up to 576 on Tuesday.

Kejriwal also announced a '5T plan' for Delhi to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.

The 5T plan includes Testing, Tracing, Treatment, Team Work and Tracking and Monitoring. He also said that the government will conduct one lakh random coronavirus tests in Delhi's hotspots.

The positive cases in the city are increasing at a rapid rate since last week.

The total positive cases in Delhi were 97 on March 30, which increased to 120 on March 31. While the number of cases stood at 152 on April 1, it jumped to 293 on April 2. On April 3, the tally reached 386 while the next day it swelled to 445. The total of cases on Sunday stood at 503.
