New Delhi, March 24 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Election commission has rescheduled the by-election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council from the Dhule-cum-Nundarbar local authorities constituency, in view of the coronavirus outbreak.
"The Commission having considered the matter, has decided to reschedule the date of the poll and subsequently date of counting of votes and date of completion of election for ensuing by-election from Maharashtra," read the ECI letter to Maharashtra Chief Election Commissioner.
The by-election, necessitated after Amrishbhai Rasiklal Patel resigned, was scheduled for March 30.
