AAP to hold silent marches against ‘terrorist’ remark

New Delhi, Jan 31 (SocialNews.XYZ) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will hold silent marches across all the 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi to protest against BJP MP Parvesh Verma's "terrorist" remark targeted at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

The silent marches started on Friday and will continue till Sunday. Apart from the march, AAP will also conduct a door-to-door campaign and distribute pamphlets asking people to decide whether "Kejriwal is their son or a terrorist".

The three-day campaign will be organised by the party volunteers wearing black ribbons in all 70 Assembly constituencies in the national capital, which will go to the polls on January 8.

"Verma had called Kejriwal a 'terrorist' and the statement was endorsed by Manoj Tiwari, the Delhi BJP chief. The Aam Aadmi Party moved the Election Commission and complained against the hate campaign of the BJP and the lack of decorum on their part. The AAP has also asked the EC to take stern action against such hate remarks. Thereafter, the EC had banned Verma for campaigning for 96 hours," the AAP said in a statement.
