Meghna Gulzar Drops Muk Dikhai 2.0 from Chhapaak

By News Helpline – 27th December 2019

After dropping Ab Ladna Hai, the makers of Chhappak are out with yet another poignant promotional video about acid victims and their undying spirit to live life and overcome their struggles.

Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar dropped the new promotional video, titled Muh Dikhai 2.0, which addresses the four acid attack victims and zeal for life, as it’s what you are on the inside that matters, not the appearance.

Meghna captioned the video, “To meet their gaze and match their smiles. #MuhDikhai 2.0 is about being seen. Fearless, free and fun! #Chhapaak hits the cinemas on 10th January, 2020. @deepikapadukone @masseysahib #Gulzar @atikachohan @foxstarhindi @_KaProductions @mrigafilms”

Muh dikhai 2.0 is about looking through the exterior, at the spirit that lies within. Being bold and fearless is beautiful. Their scars don’t define them. They choose to be victorious, not victims. And smile at us without hesitation. Now, we must smile back as it’s what you are on the inside, that matters, not your appearance.

The video is inspirational, it encourage people to address the issue of acid attacks and support the victims, and not look at them with disdain. They deserve the dignity as much as we do!

Chhapaak is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by her as well as Deepika Padukone in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. Based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, it stars Padukone as an acid attack survivor, alongside Vikrant Massey.

The film will be theatrically released in India on 10 January 2020.
