After taking a break from silver-screen, actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra is all geared up with her comeback drama titled Nikamma, unveils the release date of the film.
Nikamma is an upcoming romantic comedy action film directed by Sabbir Khan and produced under the banner of Sony Pictures Networks India and Shabbir Khan Films. The film features Shilpa Shetty, Abhimanyu Dassani and Shirley Setia, who will be making her Bollywood debut.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra just took to her social media and dropped a stunning still of herself, she captioned it, “Super excited to announce that #Nikamma is releasing on June 5, 2020. Have had such an amazing experience working with @sabbir24x7, @Abhimannyu_D & @ShirleySetia, and now, I can’t wait for you guys to watch it! See you in the theatres! @sonypicsprodns @SonyPicsIndia”
The film was announced in July 2019 with Abhimanyu Dassani opposite debutante Shirley Setia in lead. Later Shilpa Shetty joined the cast, making a comeback after thirteen years. In her Instagram account she posted, "My sabbatical of 13 long years comes to an end. I am so excited to announce that the film you will see me next in is Nikamma... Need all your blessings."
Dassani's last outing with the Vasan Bala directorial – Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota - was praised across the board for its quirky narrative and amazing music. Meanwhile, Indo-Kiwi singer Shirley Setia recently collaborated with Christopher Comstock, known professionally as Marshmello, on 'Biba'.
The film is coproduced by Sony Pictures Intl Prod and Sabbir Khan Films and it is slated for 2020 release.
