DUSU, ABVP demand early resolution of DU teachers issues

New Delhi, Dec 5 (SocialNews.XYZ) A delegation of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) met the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) and submitted a memorandum demanding withdrawal of the August 28 letter issued by the Delhi University.

"We have put forward the demand to HRD Minister that the process of permanent appointments be started at the earliest and all vacancies be filled within 6 months by permanent appointments," the ABVP said.

Sidharth Yadav, Delhi ABVP Secretary, said, "The problem being faced by the varsity today has been brought about by the irresponsible attitude of the Vice-Chancellor who has not been paying heed to the complaints of teachers."

The ABVP team was accompanied by the DUSU office-bearers. They demanded immediate action over the matter as the agitation was spoiling students' future.

DUSU President Akshit Dahiya and DUSU Joint Secretary Shivangi Kharwal said, "In reference to the present scenario, the MHRD should interfere to improve the situation and to make it normal by re-appointing all the ad hoc professors and the university administration should take back the circular issued on August 28."
