Amritsar: 3.352 kg gold worth Rs 1.30 crores was seized from two passengers at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar on Dec 1, 2019. The passengers identified as Gurpreet Singh and Gurjant Singh were arriving from Dubai when they were intercepted at Amritsar Airport. From 1st pax, gold weighing 1664.18 grams valued at Rs 64.57 Lakhs was recovered followed by 1688.22 grams valued at Rs 65,50,293 24 carat gold that was seized from 2nd pax, Some gold was found concealed as wires in suitcase and also in Bluetooth speakers and toy cars.
