Filmmaker Rohit Shetty and superstar Ajay Devgn’s massive hit franchise Golmaal is coming back with its fifth instalment, marking it the first ever Indian film to have five parts.
The official handle of Reliance Entertainment dropped the confirmation the film. It said, “#RohitShetty and @ajaydevgn are back with the 5th installment of our blockbuster Golmaal franchise, GOLMAAL FIVE! With this installment, Golmaal will become the first Bollywood franchise to have a run of five films #GolmaalFIVE @Shibasishsarkar @RSPicturez”
Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are known for delivering box-office hit films. Their last collaboration, ‘Golmaal Again’ did great business at the box office and to treat their fans yet again the duo is back with yet another project.
Superstar Ajay Devgn also confirmed the same. He tweeted, “A film franchise which is not only the longest running one in hindi cinema but also happens to be one of my favourites! Prepare yourself for yet another laugh riot with #GolmaalFive. #RohitShetty @Shibasishsarkar @RelianceEnt @RSPicturez”
Rohit and Ajay are all set to reunite for their hit franchise, ‘Golmaal 5’ which is being co-produced by Rohit and Shibashish Sarkar. The film will go on floors next year, also the female lead will be locked earlier next year.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is busy Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, which also stars Safi Ali Khan and Kajol in the lead roles. The film is helmed by Om Raut and chronicles the life Maratha warrior Tanhaji Malusare, who was the military leader of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, founder of the Maratha Empire.
Rohit Shetty will soon be releasing Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.
