Taapsee Pannu To Play Double In Sia Jia ?

After hitting a massive hit run with Badla, Mission Mangal, Game Over and Saand Ki Aankh, actress Taapsee Pannu is now all set to explore the uncharted territory of Double role for the first time in her career.

Bollywood is buzzing with news that Sanjay Leela Bhansali Production and producer Sabina Khan has roped in Taapsee Pannu to play a double role in a project, titled Sia Jia.

Though the official announcement is yet to be made, but reports confirm that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is on a lookout to finalize the director for the movie, the team has finalised the script of Sia Jia.

There were rumours flying around that Bhansali had roped in Taapsee for the much talked about biopic on Sahir Ludhianvi opposite Abhishek Bachchan. The reports suggested that she was being considered for the role of Amrita Pritam in the movie. However, the actress had rubbished the reports saying that although she would love to essay Amrita Pritam’s role, she hasn’t been approached for Sahir Ludhianvi’s biopic.

Taapsee is gearing up for Anubhav Sinha’s upcoming directorial Thappad. The movie also stars Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Manav Kaul, Tanvi Azmi and Ram Kapoor in key roles. Thappad is slated to release on Women’s Day in March 2020.

Actress Taapsee is also part of Tadka, which is directed by actor Prakash Raj, starring Ali Fazal and Shriya Saran. The story of the film is based in Goa and the film is a remake of the 2011 Malayalam blockbuster Salt N' Pepper.
