Actor Abhishek Bachchan finds “Girls Got Talent” video featuring Karan Johar and Mithila Palkar, addressing the issue of dark alleyways, a great initiative.
Filmmaker Karan Johar dropped a video on his social media profile addressing women’s safety in dark alleyways and geo-tagging them. The video also features Mithila Palkar.
Sharing the video, Karan Johar wrote, “What is that one talent that girls in our country need to have? I am proud to join hands with @weareyuvaa @stc_india @mipalkar for 'Girls Got Talent', a film about girl safety that you MUST see! @aliaa08 @akshaykumar @juniorbachchan #LightUpHerLife”
Yuvaa and Save The Children have come together, seeking to geotag and light up dark and unsafe alleys. The video featuring Karan Johar and Mithila Palkar, illustrates the paralysing fear experienced by women in India when traversing unlit, isolated places at night.
Abhishek Bachchan appreciate the initiative and wrote, “This is such a great initiative @karanjohar @weareyuvaa #LightUpHerLife”
The campaign will continue till January 2020, and asks participants to aid in the endeavour by geo-tagging locations that are unlit or dimly lit, using a link that can be found on Save the Children’s website.
Meanwhile on the work front, Abhishek Bachchan is busy with Anurag Basu's Next, The Big Bull and Bob Biswas.
