Want to work with Akshay Kumar more often; Nupur Sanon after featuring in ‘Filhall’

Singer Nupur Sanon, who has featured in a music video along with Akshay Kumar named ‘Filhall’, has said that she wants to collaborate with 52 year old superstar more often because she learnt a lot from him while working on her first project.

Nupur Sanon was interacting with the media at success press meet of her recently released song ‘Filhall’ along with song’s singer B Praak and lyricist Jaani on Thursday in Mumbai.

Two decades after his big screen debut, Akshay Kumar has released his first music video ever. Sung by B Praak, the five-minute song is a romantic ballad which speaks of the pain of separation.

Sharing her experience working with Akshay Kumar in the music video, Nupur said, “I have learnt a lot after working with him. I think that I want to do more work with him to keep learning and keep growing. Starting from his lifestyle, he is very punctual. We used to shoot for the song from 4 am in the morning. He used to reach the set earlier than me so, I had to be on time to start shooting with him. I liked the fact that he never goes into his vanity van. Once he is on the set, he is always interacting with the crew and cast.  He is there for the entire shoot.”

Nupur added, “He told me that ‘just to be in the moment’ and he told me that ‘don’t think so much and do your work without any hesitation’. He used to guide me wherever I needed him to guide me but it was really free-flowing process. He never told me that ‘don’t do this or that’. He knew that I am a newcomer so, he told me to do things in my own way so he adjusted himself according to that.”

Nupur is a younger sister of Kriti Sanon, when asked Nupur what was her sister’s reaction after watching the music video, she said, “Kriti has a habit that whenever she compliments me about something in that also, she gives me some kind of negative feedback because she is very protective and she also like my chhoti mummy so, I was very scared. I didn’t contact her after the release of my video. I thought she will contact me after seeing it because she is shooting in Mandawa right now so, she sent me long text on my phone and there was nothing negative in it. She was like ‘I loved the song and I am so proud of you’ so, I was really happy after reading her message.”

When asked Nupur when she is going to make her Hindi film debut, she said, “Hopefully soon.. I am glad that I took my time to do my first music video because I never ever dreamt that I will work with superstar Akshay Kumar in my first project. I am going to wait for right opportunities. I am in talks with few people but I haven’t singed anything as of now. A lot people have approached me after seeing this music video but I want to take things slowly and easily. This career for me is about longevity. I am in no hurry but I just want to be there for the longest time.”

Talking about audience response to her music video named ‘Filhall’, Nupur said, “I am feeling really

overwhelmed with the kind of response we have got for our song. We expected this kind of response because the song is really good. B Praak has beautifully sung it and Jaani has beautifully written it so, we expected love from the audience but the kind of love we are getting from people is really special. I think not even five days has been competed since we have released the song and now we have got more than 81 millions views for the song on YouTube so, I can’t even express my feelings about it.”

When asked Nupur what kind of compliments she is getting from the people, she said, “Honestly, this is the first time I have acted so, I was waiting for appreciation about my performance in it. I am feeling so happy and blessed that people are liking the song and they are relating with it. They have messaged me saying that I didn’t look as a newcomer who is working with Akshay Kumar sir for the first time. They felt that it was real and organic so according to me, that’s the purest compliment I have received for this song.”
