Prof K Nageshwar: Majilis national outreach to help BJP (Video)

         జాతీయ రాజకీయాల్లోకి మజ్లిస్, BJP కోసం ఒవైసీ కరసేవ?

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimee (AIMIM) is likely to contest at least half the total seats in the coming Jharkhand assembly polls in the party’s maiden election in the state.

Party leaders from Hyderabad, where AIMIM is headquartered, said that while candidate names are still being finalized, the final number might touch the halfway mark or go higher.

In the recent Maharashtra polls, AIMIM contested 44 out of 288 seats and won two. In many seats, it managed to get a significant enough vote share, which analysts believe hurt the chances of the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) alliance. In Jharkhand, however, it has yet to test the waters.

In October, the party also won the Kishanganj by-election in Bihar, unseating the Congress in one of its bastions.
