Unnao, Aug 13 (IANS) A BJP leader and two others were on Tuesday injured in a blast which took place after a gas cylinder was thrown off a truck as it caught fire here in Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, BJP district President Shrikant Gautam and two others were going to Lucknow to attend a meeting when they stopped at a roadside eatery.
They were injured after an explosion took place when the truck driver threw the gas cylinder which had caught fire from his parked vehicle.
The injured have been admitted to the Trauma Centre in the King George's Medical University (KGMU) where their condition was said to be stable.
Witnesses said that pieces of the gas cylinder had pierced into the face and neck of the victims.
