New Delhi, Aug 8 (IANS) In view of flood in many parts of the country, outgoing Congress President Rahul Gandhi here on Thursday urged party workers to help the flood-hit people.
"The flood situation in Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Odisha, Assam and Bihar is grim, with lakhs of citizens stranded or displaced. I request Congress workers in the affected states to do all they can to help those in need and pray that the flood waters soon subside," Rahul Gandhi tweeted.
His remarks came amid the grim flood situation in several states. Several people have lost their lives in Maharashtra, Kerala, Gujarat, Bihar and Assam.
