Much to the amusement of people on social media, a Pakistani news anchor is getting trolled online after she confused technology giant Apple with the apple fruit during a live show. This has happened when a panelist on the TV show was comparing the financial status of the tech company Apple with the economic position of Pakistan.
The panelist on the show said, "Apple's business is so much more than even Pakistan's budget." To that, the anchor responded by saying, “Yes, I have heard that Apple's (fruit) business has been thriving lately and there are various varieties of it.” The panelist responded to the anchor’s oblivious statement by saying, “I am talking about the Apple company, not the fruit.”
For misunderstanding the context of the discussion, she has been trolled brutally in social media. Especially, Twitter users immediately reacted to the video by pulling the leg of the anchor, with one user calling it ‘news channels or comedy show. Another user said, “that is why people say an apple a day keeps the doctor away but they don’t say psychiatrist away”.
