Tollywood actor turned producer turned politician Bandla Ganesh has finally decided to quit active politics. He was an active spokesperson for Congress in last year's Telangana elections. He was a vocal critic of Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his party. He campaigned for Congress party very aggressively in those elections. He famously challenged in one of the TV interviews that he will cut his throat if Congress didn't come to power in Telangana.
He was keeping his distance from politics since that election loss. He finally announced on his Twitter account that he is quitting from active politics due to personal reasons. He thanked Congress president Rahul Gandhi and N. Uttam Kumar Reddy for giving him respect and good position in the party. He also announced that he is no longer be associated with any parties.
He also said all his comments on opposition leaders as Congress spokesperson are not personal. If those comments hurt anyone, he is deeply sorry.
