Srinagar, March 31 (IANS) Nirmal Singh, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, said on Sunday some political parties praised Pakistan and militants for votes.
Addressing party workers in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla district, Singh said: "These parties have always misled Kashmiris by telling them if they do not vote for these parties, the Centre will kill them."
He said Pakistan has always supported terrorism and never tried to have a dialogue with India.
"Political parties like the National Conference (NC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Congress have always fooled Kashmiris for their own benefits," he said.
They had been doing this since 1970 for the power and votes, the BJP leader said.
