Chandigarh, March 3 (IANS) Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh V.P. Singh Badnore on Sunday wished the people on the occasion of Maha Shivratri and appealed to them to celebrate it in a spirit of harmony.
In a message, the Governor said Maha Shivratri "reminds us of our pursuit of truth and understanding and symbolises salvation, devotion, dedication and fulfillment in human life".
"It depicts our composite culture of peaceful co-existence and also reminds us to adopt a positive attitude in life."
The Governor has appealed to the people to celebrate the festival in true spirit of harmony, rising above considerations of caste, creed and religion.
