Maoist killed in Chhattisgarh

Bijapur, Nov 2 (IANS) A Maoist was killed in an encounter here on Friday and a rifle was seized from his possession, police said.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Ratanlal Dangi said security forces had gone on patrol in Kamkanar jungle when the Maoist was killed. A search operation is continuing in the area.

The Maoist has not been identified yet.
